The historically important winery "Tenuta Villanova" is located in the municipality of Farra d`Isonzo in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It was founded as early as 1499. In 1932, it was acquired by Arnaldo Bennati. The estate, first called "Piave-Isonzo", was then given its present name in 1985. Today, it belongs to Giuseppina Grossi Bennati, and Mario Zuliani is the director in charge. The estate covers about 200 hectares, half of which are planted with vines. These are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Malvasia Istriana, Merlot, Moscato Giallo, Picolit, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, Ribolla Gialla, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Friulano, Traminer Aromatico and Verduzzo. In addition to viticulture, there is also arable farming and a schnapps distillery. A guesthouse for tourists is attached. The vineyards are located in the DOC areas Collio Goriziano (20 ha) and Friuli Isonzo (80 ha). The premium wines include the Collio Goriziano wines Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon Ronco Cucco, Cabernet Sauvignon Ronco Cucco and Merlot, as well as the Friuli Isonzo wines Malvasia and Pinot Grigio.
