DOC area (also Isonzo del Friuli) for a wide range of red, rosé and white wines in the Italian region of . The zone crossed by the river Isonzo, which gives its name to the region, extends to the border. It completely covers the municipalities of Gradisca d'Isonzo, Mariano del Friuli, Medea, Moraro, Romans d'Isonzo, San Pier d'Isonzo, Turriaco, Villesse e parte di Capriva del Friuli, Cormons, Farra d'Isonzo, Fogliano di Redipuglia, Gorizia, Monfalcone, Mossa, Ronchi dei Legionari, Sagrado, San Canzian d'Isonzo, San Lorenzo Isontino, Savogna d'Isonzo and Staranzano in the province of Gorizia (Gorizia).

The pure wines are made from 100% of the respective variety. The white wines are , Friulano (Tai = ), Malvasia Istriana), Moscato Giallo), Pinot Bianco), Pinot Grigio), Riesling Renano), Riesling Italico), Sauvignon), Traminer Aromatico) and .
