Nutmeg Riesling

The white grape variety is a new breed between Riesling x Muscat St. Laurent. Synonyms are Riesling Muscatnyi, Rieslingmuscat, Rizling Musqué. The crossing was made by the French breeder Christian Oberlin (1831-1915) in Colmar (Alsace, France). By the way, the varieties Bouquetriesling, Diamantmuskat, Edelmuskat, Feinmuskat, Feinriesling, Firnriesling, Marienriesling, Muscat de la Republique, Muscat Dore de Semis, Muskatblume, Muskatbouquet, and Muskatduft also originated from the same parents. In 2016, no stock was recorded (Kym Anderson).
