Mace

This white grape variety is a new breed between Riesling x Muscat St. Laurent. The crossing was made by the French breeder Christian Oberlin (1831-1915) in Colmar(Alsace, France). Incidentally, the same parents also gave rise to the varieties Bouquet Riesling, Diamond Muscat, Edelmuskat, Feinmuskat, Feinriesling, Firn Riesling, Marienriesling, Muscat de la Republique, Muscat Dore de Semis, Muscat Bouquet, Muscat S cent and Muscat Riesling. In 2016 no stock was reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
