Cuvée de Prestige

Common name (also Prestige Cuvée or Cuvée Spéciale) for the top product of a champagne house. Such a champagne comes from particularly large vintages and was usually stored or matured on the yeast for many years. These brands are often up to five times more expensive than the standard products of the houses. These champagnes, often with a creative name, were often created and/or named for a famous person or specially created after a significant event.
