Wine-growing region in South Africa east of the Drakenstein Mountains with the districts of Breedekloof, Robertson and Worcester. Mainly white wines are produced from Chenin Blanc, Colombard, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Hanepoot(Muscat d'Alexandrie). The red wines are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsaut, Shiraz(Syrah), Pinotage and Merlot. The other South African regions are Boberg, Cape South Coast, Coastal Region, Klein Karoo and Olifants River.
