The winery "Georg Siben Erben" is located in the community of Deidesheim (area Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße) in the German wine-growing region Palatinate. It was founded in 1710 by the Siben family who had immigrated from the Netherlands. In 1908, the family was a founding member of the Verein der Naturweinversteigerer der Rheinpfalz (Association of Natural Wine Auctioneers of the Rhine-Palatinate), the forerunner of the VDP, whose chairman was Wolfgang Siben from 1967 to 1999. Attached is the restaurant "Siben's Gutsküche". Andreas Siben is the tenth generation of the family to run the business.
The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Grainhübel, Herrgottsacker, Kalkofen, Kieselberg, Langenmorgen, Leinhöhle and Paradiesgarten (Deidesheim), Reiterpfad (Rupperstberg), as well as Ungeheuer (Forst). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (the main variety with 80% of the stock),Pinot Blanc, PinotGris, Auxerrois, Gewürztraminer and Muscatel, as well as the red wine varieties PinotNoir and Regent. In accordance with the VDP classification model, the wide range of products is divided into four categories: Grosse Gewächse, Erste Lage, local wines and estate wines. As a special feature, selected old vintages are offered under the designation "Schatzkammerweine". Secco (sparkling wines), bottle-fermented sparkling wines and fine spirits (wine, marc, yeast) are also produced. About 80,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. The winery is a founding member of the VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
