single vineyard in the municipality of Deidesheim (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The southeast to southwest facing vineyards with slopes ranging from 5 to 20% cover 111 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of loamy sand, partly interspersed with boulders and limestone weathered rock. Due to its enormous size, it is a very inhomogeneous site. The Riesling variety is mainly cultivated here. The wineries Acham-Magin, Bassermann-Jordan, Biffar Josef, Christmann Arnold, Kimich, Lucashof, Margarethenhof, Reichsrat von Buhl, Reinhardt Stefan, Siben, Spindler Heinrich and Weingut von Winning, for example, have shares in the site. There are other single vineyards called Herrgottsacker in the two Palatinate municipalities of Dirkheim and Kleinkarlbach.
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
