See under national drink.
Almost every country in the world has its own special national drink. These are almost exclusively alcoholic beverages and very often spirits. Inevitably, these are those with the highest production share or alcohol consumption in the respective country. Wine and beer are available in almost all countries. In addition to flavour preferences, this results from cultural and historical aspects and, above all, growing conditions such as geographical coordinates (longitude and latitude), soil types, geology, climate and weather. These have a major influence on the various raw materials such as agave, cereals (barley, wheat, rice, millet, etc.), fruit, grapes and sugar cane from which the drinks are made.
