The winery is located in the municipality of Kenzingen (Breisgau area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. Founded in 1987, the winery is managed by Bernhard Jägle. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Hummelberg and Roter Berg. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and Auxerrois, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The hillside and terraced areas are cultivated according to the latest scientific findings in accordance with the guidelines for environmentally friendly production (KIP). The high planting density guarantees a low vine load and thus the highest possible grape quality. Quality criteria are reduced yields and selective manual harvesting of physiologically fully ripe, healthy grapes.
