The winery is located in the municipality of Deutschkreutz in the Austrian wine-growing region of Mittelburgenland. Wine growing has been in the family for generations. In 1993 the parental business was taken over by Hermine and Matthias Kovacs and bottling was started. They are supported by their son Michael. The vineyards cover over six hectares of vines on sandy loam and gravel soils with a high lime content. They are planted with the red wine varieties BlaufränkischZweigelt, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Müller-Thurgau and Chardonnay. The vineyards are cultivated in harmony with nature, all steps up to the grape harvest are done by hand. Quality criteria are healthy, mature grape material, gentle processing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The top red wines are aged in barriques. Among the premium wines are Mittelburgenland DAC (Blaufränkisch), as well as the red wine cuvée "The five elements" from all four red wine varieties. In years with suitable weather conditions, an ice wine is also pressed. Grape juice is also produced.
