Founded in 1973, the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux comprises the most important Grand Cru wines from the French region of Bordeaux in the appellations of Médoc (including Listrac-Médoc, Margaux, Moulis, Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe and Saint-Julien), Graves, Pessac-Léognan, Pomerol, Saint-Émilion, Sauternes and Barsac. The aim is to increase sales of Bordeaux Grand Crus with suitable marketing measures. In all its activities, the UGCB sees itself as an ambassador for French culture. The annual Primeur wine fair in Bordeaux is one of the most important events. Around 80 events are organised worldwide every year. As of 2024/2025, the association has 131 members; honorary members are Château Cheval Blanc, Château Mouton-Rothschild and Château d'Yquem. See also under Bordeaux classification and Grand Cru.
