Premium wineries Weinviertel

The winegrowers' association was founded in January 2002 by 14 winegrowers from the Lower Austrian wine growing region Weinviertel. Their common goal is to recognize and define the particular strengths of the Weinviertel and to produce unique "terroir wines". The members of the association want to gain experience together and work on concepts to make Weinviertel wines - especially those from the Grüner Veltliner variety - even more typical of the region. The intensive use of cellar technology is to be reconsidered and relevant experience gained. This includes, for example, fermentation without pure yeast, as well as partial abandonment of enzymes, fining and filtration. Events such as tastings, symposia and seminars for professionals and wine lovers will take place. Members are Bauer Norbert, Fidesser, Hofkellerei Stiftung Fürst Liechtenstein, Klein Julius, Minkowitsch Roland, Pfaffl Roman, Pleil Christian, Prechtl Franz, Salomon Josef, Schlossweingut Graf Hardegg, Schlossweingut Malteser Ritterorden, Setzer Hans, Taubenschuss Helmut, Weinrieder and Zull Phillip. The chairman is Werner Zull.
