Producer description of "Weingut Fidesser"

The winery is located in the municipality of Platt south of in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of . It is run by Norbert and Gerda Fidesser. The vineyards cover 13 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Außerm Holz, Höhweingarten, Hausweingarten, Hühnerkoppel, Kapellenberg, Kirchleiten, Leithen, Nalber Holzapfeln, Oberer Höhweingarten, Parapluiberg, Ranner, Rothbrunn and Sandberg. They are 75% planted with white wine varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay, Roter Veltliner, Frühroter Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc and Traminer, and 25% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt and Blauer Portugieser. The vineyards are cultivated according to the principles of organic viticulture; the winery is a member of the association. Synthetic and systemic plant protection products such as (botrytis), and are not used. Protection against vine diseases is provided exclusively by natural means through very intensive foliage work and the promotion of . The vitality of the vines is strengthened by intact soil life.
