Panonia

The white grape variety is a new variety between ((Kunbarat x Traminer) x Bianca)) x Riesling. Synonyms or accession numbers are Castellum, Panonija, SK 90-2-19 and Sremski Karlovci 90-2-19. Incidentally, the new Morava variety also originated from the same parents. The cross was made in Serbia by P. Cindric. Plant variety protection was granted in 2003. The variety should not be confused with the Hungarian new variety Pannonia. It is cultivated in Hungary (25 ha) and Serbia (2 ha). In 2020, 27 hectares of vineyards were designated.
