Panonia

The white grape variety is a new variety between ((Kunbarat x Traminer) x Bianca)) x Riesling. Synonyms are Castellum, Panonija, SK 90-2-19 and Sremski Karlovci 90-2-19. Incidentally, the same parents also produced the new variety Morava. The crossing was done in Serbia by P. Cindric. Plant variety protection was granted in 2003. The variety must not be confused with the Hungarian new variety Pannonia. It is cultivated in Hungary (25 ha) and in Serbia (2 ha). In 2020, 27 hectares of vineyard area were designated (Statistics Ministry of Agriculture Hungary, Kym Anderson).
