Pannonia

The red grape variety is an interspecific new breeding between Ivan (Rosa Menna di Vacca = Parmak Cerven x Mathiász Jánosne) x Logan (Labrusca x Vinifera). Genes of Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera are included. The hybrid was crossed in 1929 in Hungary by the private breeder Pál Kocsis. The vine is used as a wine grape variety and table grape. The variety must not be confused with the Serbian new variety Panonia. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
