Pannonia

The red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Ivan (Rosa Menna di Vacca = Parmak Cerven x Mathiász Jánosne) x Logan (Labrusca x Vinifera). It contains genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in 1929 in Hungary by the private grower Pál Kocsis. The vine is used for pressing and table grape. The variety should not be confused with the Serbian new variety Panonia. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
