Othello Petit

This red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Jaeger 70 (Munson) x Vitis vinifera. Synonyms are Campy 12, Petit Othello and Seibel 47. It contains genes from Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in France at the beginning of the 20th century by the French breeder Albert Seibel (1844-1936). No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
