The white grape variety is a new breed between Pirovano 46A (Delizia di Vaprio) x Pirovano 2 (Angelo Pirovano). Synonyms or breeding numbers are 185 Pirovano, I. P. 185, and Pirovano 185. The crossbreeding took place in 1925 at the research center in Rome by the Italian breeder Alberto Piròvano (1884-1973). The variety has fleshy, brown-red, large oval berries and attractive leaves. It is therefore often used as a ornamental vine or also as a table grape. In 2016, one hectare of vineyard area was reported in France (Languedoc) (Kym Anderson).
