The white grape variety is a new variety between Pirovano 46A(Delizia di Vaprio) x Pirovano 2(Angelo Pirovano). Synonyms or breeding number are 185 Pirovano, I. P. 185 and Pirovano 185. The crossbreeding was made in 1925 at the research centre in Rome by the Italian breeder Alberto Piròvano (1884-1973). The variety has full-fleshed, brown-red, oval large berries and attractive leaves. It is therefore often used as an ornamental vine and also as a table grape. In 2016, a scarce hectare of vineyard area was designated in France (Languedoc) (statistics Kym Anderson).
