The winery is located in the municipality of Roßbach (Neuenburg Castle area), a district of Naumburg in the German wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut. It was founded in 1992 and is now owned by Andrea (business economist) and Stephan Herzer (graduate engineer in viticulture and cellar management). In 2000, they acquired a historic farm in the centre of Roßbach, which was restored and converted into a winery. The vineyards cover 21 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Steinmeister (Naumburg) and Rappental (Dorndorf). They are 80% planted with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Silvaner,Pinot Gris, Gutedel (Chasselas), Bacchus and Kerner, and 20% with the red wine varieties Dornfelder, Blauer Portugieser, Zweigelt and André.
