Steinmeister

single vineyard in the municipality of Almrich, a district of Naumburg (Neuenburg Castle area) in the German wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut. The southeast to south-facing vineyards with 20 to 40% slopes cover 37 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of clayey, weathered shell limestone with deep loess loam in the flatter areas and red sandstone in the eastern area. The white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Weißer Burgunder and Grauer Burgunder, as well as some Dornfelder, are cultivated here. The Frölich-Hake, Gussek and Herzer Stephan wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
