Carla

The red grape variety is a new cross between Cardinal x Alphonse Lavallée, which was confirmed by DNA analyses carried out in 2013. The cross was made in 1958 in France by Paul Truel at the Domaine de Vassal (branch of INRA). The vine is mainly used as table grape. It is grown in tiny quantities in the Languedoc-Roussillon area. In 2016, 0.1 hectares of vines were declared (Kym Anderson statistics).
