Bastardo

Designation (botanical meaning "hybrid") or name component of many mainly red, but also white grape varieties in Portugal and Spain. Only some of them show genetic relationships. Especially when only "Bastardo" is indicated, it is often not clear which grape variety is actually involved:

Alfrocheiro (Bastardo Negro, Bastardo Tinto, Tinta Bastardinha).
Bastardo Blanco - colour mutation of Trousseau Noir
Bastardo Branco (Bastardo Branca)
Bastardo Espanhol (Bastardo Espanhol Noir)
Bastardo Magarachsky (Bastard de Magaraci)
Bastardo Roxo (Bastardo Gris, Bastardo Rouge) - colour mutation of Trousseau Noir
Bastartiko - clone of Promara
Castelão Francês (Bastardo Castico, Bastardo Espanhol)
Graciano (Bastardo Nero, Cagnulari Bastardo)
Monvedro (Bastardão, Bastardo)
Parraleta (Bastardão, Bastardo)
Tinta de Lisboa (Bastardo do Outeiro, Bastardo Espanhol Cova Beira, Bastardo Espanhol Noir, Bastardo Tinto)
Trousseau Noir (also Bastardinha, Bastardio Chico, Bastardo = for Madeira, Bastardo do Douro)
