The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Moldova (Guzal Kara x Villard Blanc) x Cardinal, which was confirmed by DNA analyses carried out in 2018. Synonyms are Arcadia, Arkadia seedless, Arkadija, Arkadiya, Juliana, Nastea and Nastya. Genes from Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera are present. The hybrid was crossed at the research station for viticulture in Odessa in the Ukraine. It is mainly used as table grape, but also wine grape. In 2016, 303 hectares of vineyards were reported in Moldova (Kym Anderson statistics).
