Satzen

Frequent designation or part of the name of Rieden in Austria. The designation refers to newly planted vineyards. There are a total of 25 vineyards with this name. These include those in Falkenstein (Weinviertel), Grafenegg (Kamptal), Poysdorf (Weinviertel), Prellenkirchen (Carnuntum), Retz (Weinviertel) and Zagersdorf (Leithaberg).

The part of the name Satzen occurs in many other vineyard names, for example Altesatzen, Haussatzen, Hochsatzen, Im Satzen, In Neusatzen, Neuesatzen, Obere Satzen, Östliche Satzenkritschen and Westliche Satzenkritschen.
