Wine-growing community in the Carnuntum wine-growing region (Lower Austria) on the border with northern Burgenland. To the north-west is Petronell-Carnuntum with its world-famous excavations from Roman times. The sunny southern slopes of the Spitzerberg south of Hainburg form a small red wine island. The vineyards cover 115 hectares of vines at an altitude of 146 to 299 metres above sea level, with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt, as well as the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Pinot Blanc.
The Wine lexicon helps me to keep up to date and refresh my knowledge. Thank you for this Lexicon that will never end in terms of topicality! That's what makes it so exciting to come back often.
