Parmak Cerven

The white grape variety originates from the border region Bulgaria/Turkey. Synonyms are Ak Parmak, Aluk, Alulu, Bolgar Rozovyi, Chervonyi Bolgar, Drenak, Drenak Rouge, Galetto Rosa, Parmak Cajvan, Parmak Cherven, Parmak Crveni, Parmak Tcherven, Pupuliga, Rasaclica Rossa, Razaki, Razakija, Rose Menna de Vacca, Valandouski Crveni, Valandovski Drenak and Zonguldak. The parentage is unknown. It must not be confused with the morphologically similar variety Dimyat. It is an all-female grape variety. It was a crossing partner of the new varieties Attila and Hindenburg, as well as a parent in the varieties Coarnă Rosie and Opsimo Edessis, which were created by presumably natural crossings. It is mainly used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
