The white grape variety is a new cross-breed between Muscat d'Alexandrie x Chasselas according to DNA analyses carried out in 2013. The parentage Chasselas Rouge de Fonce x Muscat Ottonel given in the breeding list turned out to be wrong. The cross was made in Hungary by János Mathiász (1838-1921), who named it after his second wife. Synonyms are Bavorske Bile, Jean Mathiász, Madame Jean Mathiász, Mathiász János, Mathiász Jánosne Muskotaly, Matyats Yanots, Kralovna and Muskat Madame Mathiász. The variety was a crossing partner of the new varieties Attila, Hindenburg and Yubilyar. It is used as table grape.
