The white grape variety is a new variety between Ezereves Magyarorszag Emleke x Thalloczy Lajos. Synonyms are Gloire de Hongrie, Gloria Hungariae, Gloria Ungariei, Glorya and Slava Vengril. The cross was made in 1929 in Hungary by the breeder Pál Kocsis. Incidentally, the same parents also produced the Kocsis Irma variety. This variety was also a crossing partner for the two new varieties Isa and Refrén. It is used as a winepress and table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
