The white grape variety (also FR 16) is an interspecific new variety between Gloria Hungaria x Seibel 5279 (Aurore). It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in 1964 in Hungary by the breeders Jozsef Fueri and E. Visontai. It is grown in tiny quantities in the Hungarian area of Kunság. In 2016, 0.4 hectares of vines were reported there (Kym Anderson statistics).

In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
