The winery is located in the municipality of Furth-Palt at the foot of the Göttweiger Berg in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Kremstal. It has been in existence since 1842 and is now run by Josef and Gabriele Edlinger, the fifth generation of the family to do so. Guest rooms are also rented out. The vineyards cover 20 hectares in the Göttweiger Berg, Höhlgraben, Katzengraben, Neuberg, Satzen, Silberbühel and Steiner Point vineyards. They are 75% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling (together about 70% of the stock), Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Sauvignon Blanc, and 25% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir.
