A vineyard in the municipality of Kohfidisch in the Eisenberg wine-growing region of Burgenland(Austria). It used to be owned by noble landlords and the church. In 1848, the Counts Erdödy divided the land among the farming population. The Csaterberg is the south-western spur of the Eisenberg and is divided into Kleincsater and Hochcsater by a valley incision. The soils and climate are very similar to the Eisenberg. The south-southeast facing vineyards with slopes of up to 21 degrees lie between 280 and 364 metres above sea level. The north and west sides are covered in coniferous forests, which provide natural protection against cold northerly winds.
