The winery in the municipality of Kab Elias in Lebanon was founded in 1997 by Said Touma. Labib Kalls is the cellar master. It was named after a chapel dedicated to St Thomas, which is located in the middle of the vineyards. The hillside vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyards planted with the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan Noir (Mazuelo), CinsautCinsaut, Grenache Noir (Garnacha Tinta), Merlot, Syrah, as well as the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Clairette, Grenache Blanc (Garnacha Blanca), Muscat d'Hamburg and Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano). The name part Clos possibly refers to vineyards surrounded by a wall, which is particularly common in French Burgundy.
