The red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Yama Budou x Sémillon. It contains genes from Vitis coignetiae and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed at the Yamanashi University in Kofu on Honshu in Japan. In 2016 no stocks were reported (Kym Anderson).
