Vat

Term (dialectal: boding) for a larger container for various activities in winemaking, such as transporting grapes and for fermentation or mash fermentation. In the past, the container was mostly made of wood, today it is also made of various other materials (concrete, stainless steel, ceramics). This is the origin of the craft name cooper.
