In Austria, a wine law designation for products that have been produced using wine-growing products (low-alcohol or dealcoholised wine, wine, sparkling wine, semi-sparkling wine, liqueur wine) and possibly with the addition of carbon dioxide, and which contain at least 15% to a maximum of 50% wine-growing products in the finished product. The term wine-based beverage, on the other hand, applies to products that contain at least 50% wine-growing products in the finished product. Wine-like be verages are products that are not made from grapes. Blended wines have nothing in common with the terms wine-based beverage or mixed wine beverage (see Cuvée).
