Wine-legal designation valid in Austria for products that have been produced using wine-growing products (low-alcohol or dealcoholised wine, wine, sparkling wine, semi-sparkling wine, liqueur wine) and, if necessary, with the addition of carbon dioxide, and have a share of wine-growing products in the finished product of at least 50%. The designation for wine-based drinks is "wine-based drink" if the alcohol content is at least 7% vol. and "wine-based cocktail" if the alcohol content is less than 7% vol. The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
