The red grape variety is an interspecific new breed between Muscat d'Hamburg x Creveling (interspecific cross with unknown parents). The hybrid was crossed in Canada by the name-giving private breeder W. H. Mills. She was a crossing partner in the four new breedings Keuka, Urbana (2), Wayne and Yates. The variety is cultivated in Japan in the Yamanashi area, e.g. by Château Lumière. In 2016, no stock was reported (Kym Anderson).

I have great respect for the scope and quality of the wein.plus encyclopaedia. It is a unique place to go for crisp, sound information on terms from the world of wine.
