Jacquez à Gros Grains

The red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Jacquez x Korinthiaki (ex DNA analyses by the South African biochemist Dr Jeronimo Rodrigues). It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed by the breeder Durand in France. No stocks were identified in 2016 (Kym Anderson).

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
