Intermediate product

Term for alcoholic beverages that are subject to excise duty in Germany (intermediate product tax). They are located between wine and spirits. This includes fortified wines such as Liquoroso, Madeira, Malaga, Marsala, Pineau des Charentes, Port, Samos and Sherry. The regulations of the sparkling wine tax law apply.
