single vineyard in the municipality of Reicholzheim (Tauberfranken area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The south-southwest-facing vineyards and some plots on the western edge facing southwest at an altitude of 270 to 330 metres above sea level with a slope of 15 to 20% cover 19 hectares of vines. This is a wind-open site. The four-hectare Oberer First parcel in the upper section is considered to be the best. The soils consist predominantly of shell limestone with red sandstone with crumbly loam in the western area. Black Riesling (Pinot Meunier), Pinot Noir and Riesling are cultivated here. The Schlör Konrad winery, for example, has shares in the site.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
