The winery is located in the municipality of Travo (province of Piacenza) in the Colli Piacentini DOC area in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It was founded in 2005 by Giulio Armani. The traditional-style stone building was renovated in two phases from 2006 to 2010 and 2022 to 2023 using local building materials.

The vineyards cover 8.5 hectares of vines; grapes are also purchased from two wineries. The white wine varieties Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Ortrugo, Marsanne, Sauvignon Bianco (Sauvignon Blanc), Trebbiano Toscano, Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc) and Pinot Grigio (Pinot Gris), as well as the red wine varieties Bonarda (Croatina), Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) and Barbera are cultivated and processed. The vines are trained using the Guyot training system at a height of 70 centimetres. The vines are cultivated according to certified organic viticulture rules. The soil, which is only treated with copper and sulphur, is mown (not ploughed) around six to seven times a year.
