The red grape variety (also Charentzi) is an interspecific new variety between Seyanets C 1262 (Vitis Amurensis Ruprecht x Csaba Gyöngye) x Karmrahyut. It contains genes of Vitis amurensis and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in 1961 in Armenia by the breeders S. A. Pogosyan, G. A. Melyan and S. S. Khachatryan. The new breed Nerkarat was created with the same parents. The vine is extremely resistant to frost to minus 28 °Celsius. It is cultivated in the west of the country. However, no stock was recorded in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
