The red grape variety originates from Russia. Synonyms are Beloboulannii, Boulany, Jassnii, Kormilets, Koubychetchnyi, Lasnyi and Ryasnyi. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it originates from a presumably natural cross between Coarnă Alba (Pukhliakovsky) x Ekim Kara Faux. However, this is based on only 18 DNA markers (see molecular genetics). It is used as a winepress and table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
