Negative description for the taste of a wine in the context of a wine address. However, this must be seen in context, the unpleasant biting (burning) taste and smell (aroma) can refer to various components (also in combination), these are:

Alcohol content - see alcoholic (alcoholic), burnt, burning.
Acidity - see acetic, edgy, acidic, sharp, sour
Tannins - see bitter (often occurring together) and astringent.

This means at least a quality defect and, if too pronounced, a wine defect. A milder form of aggressive, so to speak, is obtrusive.
