The white grape variety (also CSF 259) is a Hungarian new cross between Blaufränkisch x Médoc Noir (Menoir, formerly Kékmedoc). The cross was made in 1951 by the breeder Pál Kozma in Hungary. It is grown in the Etyek-Buda area. In 2016, a scarce hectare of vineyard was designated (Kym Anderson).
