single vineyard in the municipality of Medersheim in the German wine-growing region of Nahe. The south to south-east facing vineyards with slopes of 10 to 50% cover 27 hectares of vines. The soils consist of red sandstone with a high proportion of quartzite. Around half of the vineyards here are planted with the Riesling variety. The Bamberger Heiko, Edelberg, Hehner-Kiltz and Hexamer Helmut wineries, for example, have shares in the site. There are other single vineyards with the name Rheingrafenberg in the two municipalities of Frei-Laubersheim and Wörrstadt in the Rheinhessen wine-growing region.
The wein.plus encyclopaedia is a comprehensive, well-researched reference work. Available anytime and anywhere, it has become an indispensable part of teaching, used by students and myself alike. Highly recommended!
