Negru Moale

The red grape variety originates from Moldova. Synonyms are Cerno Meko, Chastokolon, Licinca, Murga, Neagra Moale, Negra Mole, Niagra Moale, Nyagra Moale, Vanata and Vinata. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it originates from a presumably natural cross between Gouais Blanc x unknown partner. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see Molecular genetics). No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
