hand method

Memorable method in the context of a wine tasting or wine evaluation to check the most important six quality criteria and to describe them in the context of a wine address (see also under COS). It was developed in the 1990s by the well-known Austrian "wine professor" Prof. Bernulf Bruckner (details can be found in the book "Der Weinkenner"). The name is derived from the fact that the hand and the five fingers each represent a criterion:
