single vineyard in the municipality of Lauf (Ortenau area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The southwest to south-facing vineyard at 220 to 270 metres above sea level with a slope of 40 to 60% covers almost four hectares of vineyards on granite weathered and red sandstone soil. It is protected from north winds by a forest. Only Pinot Noir is cultivated here. The sole tenant is the Huschle family; Weingut Freiherr von und zu Franckenstein.
