Giovanna

The red grape variety is a new breed between Muscat d’Hamburg x Pirovano 62. Synonyms or breeding numbers are Dalmasso 18-21 and I. D. XVIII/21. The crossing took place in Conegliano (Veneto) by the Italian breeder Giovanni Dalmasso (1886-1974). By the way, the varieties Liana, Teresita, and Viola were also created with the same parents. The vine is mainly used as table grapes. In 2016, no stock was recorded (Kym Anderson).
